reddit fly with cbd oil tincture

We fly all the time with distillate and pills. We don't vape and frankly the oils are awful especially Curaleaf's. We put them in our carry-on with other things that look like beauty products. No one ever has stopped us. DON'T PUT THEM IN YOUR CHECKED BAG. First the distillate will explode in the non-pressurized cargo hold and I'm sure the vape cartridge would as well. Second, checked bags are actually more likely to be screened closely.

Flying to Boston next week. They have medical there but do not take out of state cards ( i called ) and even though they have recreational its all held up in all the approvals and government BS and still are not selling. So. I was thinking of either flying with a small bottle tincture oil or the 10 mg pills from Curaleaf. Trying to be stealth and save my MGs for any black Friday sales coming up. Also thought about the disposable pens from Surterra since they work for me but not sure of pens through TSA and flying with the pressure. Noobie here and I appreciate any advice

Finally, the TSA isn't looking for weed. If they find it they will either ignore it, throw it away or refer it to local authorities. You now the TSA has zero interest in making those lines longer or causing a bigger mess. So generally they just ignore it.

And it’s definitely not worth missing your brothers wedding over.

CBD containing below a certain amount of THC is legal here in Texas?

If you are nervous about flying with it, you'll find plenty of options available once you are in CA.

YES(special instructions) Marijuana and certain cannabis infused products, including some Cannabidiol (CBD) oil, remain illegal under federal law except for products that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis or that are approved by FDA. (See the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, Pub. L. 115-334.) TSA officers are required to report any suspected violations of law to local, state or federal authorities.

Just buy some there, it’s not worth the stress and anxiety at the airport, and its cheaper than what a lawyer will charge to defend you if you’re arrested.

Thanks for all the comments! I have decided I’m going to just bring it. Based on the TSA’s own website which states:

You're going to San Francisco. Don't bring water to the ocean, they'll be so much there without risking it.

My experience with tincture has almost exclusively been with soaking a bunch of vaped bud in 151 proof everclear and getting a pretty potent product. But I've recently been seeing tincture methods that involve letting the alcohol evaporate completely, leaving only the sticky essential oil goodness from the plant. From there you can add a carrier oil (such as glycerin or coconut oil) and the weed resin in theory should combine well with the carrier oil, finally completing a proper tincture with no nasty alcohol taste.

I've seen numerous modified ways to make cannabis oil tincture. If anything, I just want to know more about the evaporation method and combining the carrier oil later on. I love making tincture and I just don't know the professional way to go about making a bottle that I can be proud of. Any thoughts about the topic would be greatly appreciated.
