do you need to disolve cbd isolate in oil

Making CBD oil at home is actually a lot easier than it might seem. Once you understand the basics and have the right tools at your disposal, there’s not much standing in your way from creating your own personal batch of the good stuff.

To take CBD orally, just add one teaspoon of the oil directly onto your tongue or into your favorite food or drink. Wait about 5-10 minutes after the first dose, and see if it’s working. If you need more, go ahead and take one more teaspoon, or a half, until you achieve your desired dose.

The Only CBD Oil Recipe You’ll Ever Need

If you live in a state where growing is legal, you might have already gotten your hands on some marijuana seeds, and are planning your first grow. While this is a great way to take the entire process into your own hands, you don’t have to grow your own marijuana to make CBD oil.

To do this, simply divide the amount of CBD you used by the amount of oil you used in teaspoons. For example, 600mg of CBD isolate in 48 teaspoons(1 cup) of oil would result in potency of 12.5 mg CBD per teaspoon.

Add 1 cup of your carrier oil to a pot. Put the pot on the stove, on low heat, and wait for the oil to simmer. You’ll know it’s ready when it starts to form small bubbles on the bottom of the pot. Then, crush 1 gram of your CBD crystals or concentrate into a powder form, and put the concentrate into the pot. Now, stir the mixture until the CBD has completely dissolved. To know your CBD is completely dissolved, there should be no more powder or chunks of crystal in the oil. If you notice that your crystals are not dissolving entirely, you can also use a cheesecloth to strain the oil and remove the excess crystals.

Since the product is so concentrated in a small volume, most people choose to add their isolate to a larger base so they are able to accurately measure doses, which takes us to the first method of consuming CBD isolate:

CBD isolate is the most pure form of CBD you can obtain. The consistency is a fine, white powder visually similar to sugar or white sand. The isolate makes the top of my list simply for its versatility! Discover CBD’s Isolate is 99.8% CBD, meaning you get 998mg of CBD per gram – all in a tiny container. Since the product is pure CBD, it will not contain any other cannabinoids and is not considered a full spectrum product. While many people use the CBD isolate and find relief, it’s important to note that it’s possible to have different results with full spectrum products and isolate products.

Since CBD isolate is naturally oil soluble, you’re able to fully dissolve the white powder into any oil! All it takes is warming up the oil (double boil method) of your choice (MCT oil is my favorite), and stirring in your CBD isolate. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes to fully dissolve. I typically use 2 oz. of oil and mix my entire gram of isolate, giving me about 16.5mg of CBD per ml. Flavoring like peppermint or vanilla can be added to your tincture for a sweet taste! Now you’ve got yourself an extra strength tincture that you didn’t break the bank for.

You can vaporize the isolate in one of two ways. The most common way is by dabbing the isolate, using a dab rig set up. This will require you to have a water piece, a dab tool, and a torch. This method of vaping is not suggested for those that are not familiar with dabbing as it involves high amounts of heat and can be potentially dangerous. A dab rig isn’t the only way to vape isolate though, you can simply use a vape pen! If you travel this path, make sure to melt the isolate on the coil of your vape pen before inhaling – or better yet – use our isolate slab simply designed to be vaporized!

This will be easier than it sounds! As mentioned in the previous method, you’ll want to warm up your oil of choice before adding your isolate. The most commonly used oils for topical products are coconut oil or olive oil. If using an oil like olive oil (liquid), you’ll need to use beeswax to make the product a solid. A topical product is much more favorable when you add essential oils like grapeseed oil, tea tree oil, rosemary, etc. Keep in mind that you’ll always want to dissolve your isolate into the coconut oil or olive oil before adding other ingredients, as the isolate is only oil soluble.

CBD Isolate is 99% pure Cannabidiol derived entirely from hemp oil that was extracted from industrial hemp. Our isolate comes in crystalline (powdered) form making it extremely easy to work with as an ingredient.

CBD isolate has already been activated (decarboxylated), which means that it doesn’t need to be heated prior to use. This gives isolate more versatility than other CBD extracts. CBD Isolate can be ingested, taken sublingually, or mixed with other ingredients.
